Tips for Installation

The installation of our bellows can be done either directly on sheet metal or on various frame constructions. Here, we have listed the different options for you, along with their advantages and disadvantages, so you can decide which method best suits your needs.
Direct installation on sheet metal
This method is by far the most pragmatic. It is also suitable when there is very little space between the cab and the living cabin. No additional frame is required. It can be used whenever the outer shell of your cab or cabin is made of sheet metal. Openings are cut into the outer shell on both sides, ensuring rounded corners with a... Read More
Frame made of F-profile
Aluminum F-profiles are commercially available, but the selection of different dimensions is somewhat limited. Steel F-profiles can be produced by welding two L-profiles together. The edge onto which the bellows will later be pressed on should not exceed a material thickness of approximately 4 mm. The corners should have an outer radius... Read More
Frame made of Z-profile – Variant I
Aluminum Z-profiles are commercially available. Steel or stainless steel Z-profiles can be custom-bent at a low cost to fit specific dimensions. The edge onto which the bellows will later be pressed should not exceed a material thickness of approximately 4 mm. Radii must be welded into the corners, for which sections of a round tube... Frame made of Z-profile – Variant II
This method is also suitable when there is very little space between the cab and the living cabin. However, since a Z-profile frame in this variant extends into the pass-trough, the usable passage size is reduced. Aluminum Z-profiles are commercially available. Steel or stainless steel Z-profiles can be custom-bent at a low cost to... Read More
Frame made from T-profile
This method is also suitable when there is very little space between the cab and the cabin. However, since a T-profile frame extends into the passage, the usable passage size is reduced. Equal- and unequal-sided T-profiles made of aluminum and steel are commercially available. When using steel profiles, it is important to ensure that... Read More
Subframe made of U-profile
If a particularly large gap between the cab and the living cabin needs to be bridged, a subframe made of U-profile can be used. U-profiles made of aluminum are available in various dimensions. The material thickness should not exceed approximately 4 mm, and the corners should be rounded with a minimum outer radius of 20 mm. Two bellows must then be installed in the passage. Different seal sizes can be freely combined for this purpose.
